Legoland at Bangsar Village

Toys R Us is set to fulfill any kid's Lego-dream this Christmas. I'm sure most of us had some kinda Lego fantasy or other when we were kids. Hop into Bangsar Village to be transported into magical Lego-land. Hubby is a big Lego fan (aren't all boys???) so he had alot of fun just gazing and lusting at the various Lego collections on display.  I was pretty impressed with the ginormous 22-feet Christmas tree and the many fabulous Star Wars collections! Here's a sneak preview, I'm thinking it's really worthwhile to take your kids here. It's definitely not your run-of-the-mill Christmas mall decor.

 22' Lego Christmas tree!

Lego on discount; perfect for Christmas pressies! Good thing Lucas is still so tiny, otherwise he will be bugging us for these stuff!

It's like a Lego museum here; I think these belongs to hard-core avid collectors. The adults and older teens are more taken with these than the children.

My favorite; an assembly of the entire Galactic Empire!

Clone troopers!

Seaside medieval castle.

Ancient Egyptian pyramid.

Play area for children.

Catch them before they are gone, from now till 2 January 2011.

What Are The Kids Up To?

So we go to work in the morning; I usually leave earlier but hubby wakes up just as I leave the house or sometimes later. Hence I just leave it for him to make the bed if he feels up to it in the morning.

In the evening, I almost always come home earlier than he does, hubby's always got gym sessions or meetings in the evening, plus the occasional happy hour thrown in. Sometimes when I come home after a long harrassed day at work, I walk into the bedroom, and this is what I find ....

Often the kids are all tucked into a neat row with the covers snuggling up to their necks, once I found them in a nice circle on the bed, as if conspiring something ....

There you go, that's how hubby makes the bed in the morning when he's in the mood for it. This always puts a smile on my face and whatever s*** happened during the way is wiped away clean and I'm cheerful as a bunny.

Thank you baby, I'm thankful you're my hubby *muaks*

Shortcake: the new TV star!

Shortcake would like to introduce two new friends and a new ride ... presenting the first Shortcake pilot video clip.

Starring:
Shortcake - the krazy koala in the lead
Mozzie - the new addition from 'ozzie', a gift from a friend
Mumbles - new 'souvenir' from S'pore Night safari

Direction, script and vocals by Shortcake's dear hubby. Shot with my phone, so don't complain about the quality *haha*

I don't think the audio is very clear here, you may want to disable the iPod thingy for a second there.

This, dear reader, is how hubby entertains me when he feels like it. We actually shot this a few months back by 'accident', just for kicks. Imagine the terror on his face when I told him I am posting this video on the blog! He is now pressured to come up with more. Poor baby.

I Bought Some HappYness!

Had a lovely Shopaholic Saturday! More shopping exploits to reward myself for being smoke-free for almost a week! Plenty of excuses to spend money. Sigh.

This green card is true ... sometimes, we should simplify our lives ... if happYness can be bought ... what a wonderful world this would be!

There's a sale going on just about everywhere! First spotted is Mooie .... this was taken across the street (heheh)

This is what I bought from Mooie .... does it look preggers ...??? Dunno man ... but was on sale! 15% off! beh tahan ... so cute!

I also bought a munkii. What's that? More correctly, it's actually an Oook doll. That's what it says on the little hand-written tag. I had to part with RM59 for this spooky creature. Yet it voodoo-ed me from the moment I set eyes on it and I just can't resist. There were loads of Oooks at Mooie, each Oook is hand-made and one design only. More reason to own one!

Oook dolls on a wall

This place surprise me every time. I don't always find something that suits me here but I still love coming here. They change their stuff all the time, and even if I don't buy any baju, I still enjoy browsing.... it's like a quirky gallery of sorts to me. In fact sometimes the baju are too quirky for me ... maklumlah, I am no hip teenybopper ... but wannabe maybe. But no really, they do have something for everyone, just look around and be open-minded ...

What I love most about Mooie are the price tags! Witty. Cute. Naughty.

I just realized that the munkii matches my top! Hah. How is that relevant? No idea actually. They just match.

The best way to top off a delightful rainy shopping afternoon is to indulge in a few books. I enjoy buying books as much as I enjoy reading them. Here are what we picked up at Kinokuniya ....

What a lovely end to a HappY Saturday :)

Holy Little Fella

I just have to share this adorable gift I got last birthday from my sister in law. It’s a “prayer bear”!!! No kidding! She got it from the gift shop in the Holy Trinity Church in Singapore.

This little fella actually has a really serene and cute expression plus bendy knees that can kneel and balance without toppling over. Check out the little bear paws (velcro-ed together) which holds a miniature rosary! What’s more, little pious bear also proudly declare his faith on his t-shirt which quotes a verse from Matthew 7:7. I need to find a way to get some more of these, great gifts for children, especially during Christmas!

Would it be cool if we can come up with a bear that could recite the Lord's Prayer??? "Our Father who art in Heaven ...." with a press of a button? What a wonder. Heheheh :P
